Despite these challenges, Jairus excels in school, particularly in mathematics and Kiswahili, though his overall performance is commendable. He has a passion for playing football with his friends, especially his best friend. His favorite color is red, reflecting his energetic and bold personality. He enjoys the company of dogs, valuing their unique ability to listen, feel, and respond.

In school, Jairus is inspired by his favorite teacher, who talks to the students about life’s realities and encourages them to stay positive. Jairus’s favorite meal is chapati and meat, a rare treat he relishes whenever his family can afford it. Besides his academic and athletic interests, Jairus enjoys dancing, drawing, coloring, traveling, and reading storybooks.

Joyblessing

Joy comes from a family of five, consisting of her mother, aunt, and two cousins. Her father has never been in her life, which sometimes makes her feel sad, especially when she sees her friends with their dads. Their financial struggles led to them being kicked out of their old house, so they moved in with Joy’s aunt. After her aunt’s recent death, Joy’s mother now cares for Joy and her two cousins.

Joy is an active and bright girl who loves playing football and hopes to go pro someday. She also enjoys playing skipping rope with her best friend and other friends in the neighborhood, which keeps her physically fit and active. When she gets a chance to attend school, she excels in mathematics and Kiswahili, considering herself intelligent and finding no challenge in scoring good grades in these subjects.

Joy loves the company of cats, appreciating their friendly nature. She dreams of becoming a teacher, inspired by her class teacher, who teaches with great care and compassion. Joy admires how her teacher always checks on her students’ well-being, making them feel valued and listened to.

To achieve her dream of becoming a teacher, Joy knows she needs to attend school regularly to gain the necessary knowledge and skills. Though she is not currently in school, getting a sponsor will guarantee her stay in school without any worries. She remains hopeful and positive that soon she will have the opportunity to be in class and succeed in her studies.
